Running Wild Trail Run - Pelican Rapids

Running Wild Trail Run takes place at Maplewood State Park in Otter Tail County, located seven miles east of Pelican Rapids on State Highway 108. The event is organized as a fundraising activity for Health Resources Center and includes multiple race options for different ages.

The course runs through the varied terrain of northwest Minnesota and uses park trails and natural areas. Maplewood State Park covers more than 9,000 acres of tree-covered hills, clear lakes in deep valleys, hardwood forest, and wildflower areas. The park also features a variety of wildlife and about 25 miles of hiking trails.

  • 1 Mile LIFE Hike
  • 200 yard Kid's Run WILD
