Course, services and rules
The 7K course crosses uneven ground, mini-hills, a gravel road, moderately challenging hills and the Ironwood Trail Hill. The 1 mile LIFE Hike is an out-and-back route. Course markings are in red with white 12"x18" signs for mile markers. There are three water stops on the 7K course, with first aid kits at each stop. A First Aid table is provided at the finish area and at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter; an on-site EMT and an AED are available.
All participants receive a day park pass. Parking is limited and parking attendants will direct vehicles. Headphones are allowed; strollers and pets are not allowed during the race. Portable toilets are located by the start/finish area and restrooms are in the building below the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter.
Awards: kids receive finisher ribbons and gift bags, and top children receive prizes. All 7K finishers receive a finisher woodallion; maple syrup bottles are awarded to top overall male and female 7K. Age-division awards are given to the top three male and female 7K participants in the listed age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
