Thames Meander Summer on 9 August 2026 invites runners to a scenic, flat and runnable riverside race along the Thames Path between Richmond and Barnes. Choose 10km, half marathon or marathon on a waymarked, marshalled towpath course.

Multi-terrain 10k and half marathon around Wye with valley views and the hillside chalk crown. On-site event village, toilets and refreshments are provided and entries are priced differently for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.

The Scurry Around Devilla Forest Trail Running Festival will take place in Kincardine on Sunday 9 August 2026. You can run between 5 and 21 kilometers.

A short, historic fell race from Buxworth to the summit of Eccles Pike and back. The AS classified course is about 3.4 miles with roughly 275 m of climb, offers age category prizes, and includes a small travel voucher incentive.

Take on the classic Whittle Pike fell race in the South West Pennines on Wed 12 Aug 2026, roughly 5.5 miles with 550 m of climb from Cowpe Village Hall. Entry on the day is available for £5, teams welcome and runners must be 16 or over.

A sharp 4.4 km fell race from the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton featuring 390 m of climb and great ridge views; a fast, testing course for keen fell runners. Pre entry via SI Entries or entries on the day are welcome.

Join this classic Keswick fell race in the Lake District on Wed 12 Aug 2026 for a lively 4.7 mile trail challenge with 280 m climb and a summit of Latrigg. On the day entries are welcome, fee £5 and runners must be 16 or older.

An evening fell race in Darley Dale covering 7.3 km with 240 m of climb. The waymarked route features forest trails, steep ascents including a final climb to Oker Trig Point, technical descents and a short dash to the finish.

After a long break the Flagg Moor Run returns to the Peak District on Friday 14 August 2026. Enjoy a scenic 5.5 mile route through fields, lanes and country roads with a steady downhill finish. Friendly and low key.

SATURN TOO Midweek Medal Madness on 14 Aug 2026 at Wraysbury: a relaxed 7 hour timed challenge along the River Thames with distances from 3 km to ultra. Finishers earn medals and goody bags and enjoy aid stations on a scenic loop.

Sir Titus Summer Trot runs along a mostly flat towpath through the World Heritage village of Saltaire, with distances from 5k to ultramarathon. A two minute walk from Saltaire station, finishers get bespoke medals and post race goodies.

Take on the Ilkley Skyline, a challenging 22 mile fell run across Ilkley Moor and Rombalds Moor with sweeping summit views and rugged terrain. Starting and finishing at The Hermit, the unmarked loop rewards strong navigational skill.

Tackle scenic trails around Winwick Hall, Northants on the Foxton Hound Ultra, with 50k and 100k options weaving canals, villages and the Naseby battlefield. Fully supported with checkpoints, hot food and medals for all finishers.

Take on the scenic Speyside Way on 15 August 2026 with 50 km or 100 km ultra options that wind through whisky country to a coastal finish in Buckie. Trails, forestry tracks and a big climb at Ben Aigen make for a memorable and rewarding day..

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

Join the Rusland 5, a scenic fell race across Rusland Showfield in the Lake District featuring a 4.8 mile route with 310 m of climb and shorter senior and junior options. Race entry is free; the show costs £5 and accepts entries on the day.

On 16 Aug 2026 The Black Bull 15 offers a 15 miles trail run and a 15 km social hike near Chelmsford. The event marks the organiser's 20th anniversary and will donate £2 from entries to a charity to be confirmed.

A multi-distance running event in Bath that routes through two long, lit railway tunnels and finishes at Brickfields Park; proceeds partly support Sustrans and ticketing for this edition is sold out.

Trail runs take place across the private Lambton Estate in County Durham with 5, 10 and 15 mile options. The event is canicross friendly, uses live chip timing and includes a finisher medal and on-site parking.

Take on the CBTE Morland Half Marathon, a 13.65 mile trail through the scenic Eden Valley near Penrith. Partially self navigated with mixed off road terrain, it rewards finishers with a medal and a t shirt.
