Trail Running Calendar United Kingdom 2026-2027

A backyard ultra at The Waggoners in Welwyn Garden City on 26 to 27 September 2026 where runners repeat a 4.167 mile (6.71 km) loop each hour until one runner finishes alone. Entry includes drink vouchers and a commemorative glass.

Trail running festival from Hope Village in the Peak District featuring 21K and 52K routes across Win Hill and the edges of Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs. Courses are marked with aid stations, chip timing and post race goodies.

Trail runs across the 1,000 plus acre Harewood House estate with 5 mile, 10 mile and 15 mile options, live chip timing, Canicross friendly entries and finishers receiving a medal and snack.

A timed multi lap event on 26 September 2026 in Walton on Thames combining a flat 5.3 km out and back riverside course with a cake themed aid station, multiple distance options and a seven hour time limit.

A BM fell race near Ilkley covering 8.1 miles with 1,214 ft of ascent over rocky tracks, forest and a mile of road. Mandatory waterproof kit is required and there are basic facilities, on course water and a finishers drink.

A new *12 mile* trail race at National Trust Clumber Park on 26 September 2026, held entirely within the park with marshals, water stations and a three hour cut off. Finishers receive a medal and top three men and women get trophies.

Tower to Castle Ultra 30 covers 30.9 miles from Blackpool Tower to Lancaster Castle with a ferry crossing at Fleetwood, way marked sections and compulsory checkpoints. Pre registration is required and entries close 20 September 2026.

A forest running event in Warwickshire on 26 September 2026 with a 27 miles marathon and a 20 miles short course. Routes run through early autumn woodland with staffed checkpoints and proceeds supporting the Heart of England Forest.

MacTuffX Swansea on 26 September 2026 pairs ten strength Xercises with repeated running rounds across solo, doubles and five person relay formats; a LITE weight division is available and a public leaderboard will track results.

A community fell race in the Ceiriog Valley on 26 September 2026, covering 11.6 km with 425 m ascent. Entry on the day; refreshments, showers and changing facilities are provided at Canolfan Ceiriog Centre.

A 30 km hill race from Traquair House to Broughton Ales across the Scottish Borders with roughly 1500 m of ascent. The route uses hill tracks and open heather, has eight marshalled checkpoints and requires mandatory emergency kit.

A five-lap ultramarathon in Berkeley, Gloucestershire across 25-27 September 2026, covering about 130 miles and 15,000 ft of ascent with a 24 hour cut off and 120 places, organized from Hamfields Leisure with camping and tracking included.

Three community races at Harcourt Hill on 26 Sep 2026 from a 10k off road course to a 1k fun run, organised by the 4th Oxford Scout Group with medals, prizes and water stations for participants.

Guto Nyth Bran is a 9.6 km fell race near Caerphilly with 396 m of climb on a partially marked course. It takes place in late September, has a short walk from parking to the start, and charges £6 online or £8 on the day.

A fully waymarked, supported sea-to-summit ultramarathon from Caernarfon Castle to Bron y Feds Uchaf, covering 29 miles (47 km) with about 5,600 ft ascent. Pit stops, professional medical cover and GPS tracking are provided.

PARAS'10 Catterick on 26 September 2026 is a 10 mile multi terrain endurance event at Catterick Garrison. It includes a 10 mile bergen category, a canicross option, and supports the charity SUPPORT OUR PARAS.

An 11 km hill race with 430 m of climb near Monymusk. Entry is by pre entry only via Webscorer, and entry fees are listed as 2024 prices with registration details to be confirmed.

A charity relay in Malham on 27 September 2026 with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £5 per person. The route climbs near the summit of Cawden Hill then returns on a direct descent.

Trail race at Margam Country Park offering 5 km and 10 km routes through woodland with castle views. The event features chip timing, water stations, a finisher's medal and parking included with entry.

Trail running festival at Dalkeith Country Park near Edinburgh offering distances from a family mile to an ultra marathon. Courses use woodland trails, firm paths and grassy sections, and one well controlled dog per runner is allowed.
