Trail Running Calendar United Kingdom 2026-2027

Trail running event in the Lake District from Grasmere with five routes from 9 km to 52 km, technical climbs, outposts on longer routes and specified mandatory kit.

Classic fell race in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales: 4 mile route with 475 m climb over rugged upland terrain. Open to 16+ with pre entry or entry on the day, teams welcome and free parking for entrants.

Take on the scenic Bollington 3 Peaks fell race in the Peak District on Sat 19 Sep 2026, a 9 km course with 370 m climb. Pre entry only, entry includes food and a pint from Bolly Brewery.

Teams of four combine two road laps with two fell legs around Uppermill and Saddleworth Moor, covering roughly 3 miles and 2.5 miles per leg. Entries open 28 January 2026 and the entry fee is £20 per team.

A 15.6 km trail with 870 m ascent around Thornthwaite near Keswick, visiting five checkpoints across forest and open fell. The event raises funds for the restoration of Thornthwaite Church.

A 43-mile ultra and team relay along the Exe Valley Way from Exmouth to Dulverton, Salmon Run links running with river conservation and community events while tracing the salmon's upstream journey.

A 47 km mountain trail across the Mamores with about 3,100 m ascent, linking five Munro summits from Kinlochleven to Nevis Range. Fully waymarked with live GPS tracking, one support point at 31 km and mandatory kit requirements.

A hybrid fitness event at Cannock Chase Forest on 19 September 2026 offering solo entries and 5 km and 10 km ruck runs with pack weight rules, live chip timing, finisher merchandise and standard category prizes.

A coastal trail marathon and half marathon finishing in Morston on mainly off road paths, with limited entries and a donation to the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Timing, checkpoints and first aid are provided along the route.

A 23 mile trail race on the Quantock Hills that pits human runners against horses, with a Pegasus Challenge four person relay. The event is held in Over Stowey and organised by Equi-Librium Coaching and Therapy CIC.

A half marathon on Saturday 19 September 2026 at Lakeland Maze Farm Park near Kendal, running over farm trails and through the maze. Entry includes maze access, chip timing, medals, three water stations and parking.

Ras Pedol Peris is an AL Welsh fell race in Eryri near Llanberis on 19 September 2026, visiting major summits including Snowdon. Two course options are offered: a full 28 km with 2600 m ascent and a half 14 km with 1350 m ascent.

A 15.5 km fell race with 840 m of climb near Glyntawe. The route includes exposed ridges and technical sections so advanced navigation and mountain skills are required.

A scenic trail running event at Hambledon Vineyard offering races from 1 km to 20 km, chip timed with trophies and fundraising for Brain Tumour Research and Hambledon Primary School.

A 11.7 km Category BM fell race at Thropton Showfield in Coquetdale, held during the Thropton country show. Entry on the day only with modest fees, teams of three allowed, and proceeds support Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue.

Skyline Scotland 100K is a 106km mountain running race with about 6,350m of ascent across Ben Nevis and the Grey Corries. The fully waymarked route includes grade 1 scrambles, mandatory kit and GPS tracking for safety.

A Peak District trail race from Errwood Reservoir to the Cat & Fiddle Inn, offered over two distances with a ten minute VIP stop at the Forest Distillery. Finishers receive a distillery treat and luxury chocolates.

The Ham & Lyme 100K/50K will take place in Ham Hill, Somerset on Saturday 19 September 2026. You can run 50 kilometers.

Trail runs at Raby Castle offer 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes through parkland with woodland and lakes, live chip timing, on-site parking and finisher medals.
