A one-lap *5.5 mile* trail run around Templeton Woods on 2 August 2026, open to runners aged 18 and over. Numbers collected on the day, basic changing facilities, first aid cover, refreshments and prize categories including team awards.

K12 Ultra Marathon at Dean Castle Country Park uses an approximate 4 km loop where runners complete as many laps as possible in a 12 hour period. Individual and relay options are available, with relay teams of up to four members.

Part of the Aberdour Festival, the Donkey Brae Races include a 7-mile coastal course, a 2-mile village route and a c.1 km fun run, with chipped timing, medals for finishers and a village market at Silver Sands Park.

Forestburn is a short fell race near Rothbury on 9 August 2026. The course is about 5.6 km with 150 m of climb and is held at the Gate Pub as part of the Simonside Country Fair.

A 6.5 km circular hill race in Oldhamstocks with roughly 200 m of ascent, mostly on rough track with short tarmac sections. Race numbers are issued at the village hall and on the day entry is available for a cash fee.

A challenging fell race in Northumberland's beautiful countryside. The 5.8km route features 300m of climb and is part of the regional championship. Entry is available on the day.

A 33 km fell race across the Ochil Hills with 1770 m of ascent, starting at Glen Sherrup and finishing at Stirling University. Summit controls mark the route and runners must carry compulsory map, compass, whistle and waterproofs.

A 10th anniversary trail event on the Loch Eck Loop featuring a 52.22 km route with 983 m of ascent. Solo and relay options run on fully signposted trails with checkpoints, refreshments and finisher items.

Run the Borders follows the waymarked Borders Abbey Way around the Scottish Borders, visiting four ruined abbeys. It offers a full 109K, a 50K and a four person relay with checkpoints, drop bags and mandatory kit.

A 10 km marked trail around Bertha Loch and Almondbank with technical and muddy sections, woodland terrain and handcrafted finisher medals. Routes change by season and the August run accompanies a 12 hour lapped event.

A 12 hour trail challenge on a 10 km loop around Bertha Loch where runners go solo or in teams. The event features chip timing with live results, water on course, medics, marked marshalled trails, prizes and medals for finishers.

Seven mile trail race in Carron Valley Forestry on 22 August 2026, run on undulating forestry tracks toward Meikle Bin; chip timed, limited to 200 runners, with proceeds shared between Alzheimer Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue Team.

A trail running festival in Devilla Forest on 23 Aug 2026 with one-lap mixed terrain courses from Tulliallan police college. Events include a half marathon, 10km, 5km, junior 5km and a 1.5km family fun run with medals and charity support.

A roughly 5.7 mile off road trail in Cardenden Woods on 23 August 2026 that passes the site of Scotland's last pistol duel. Trail shoes are recommended and every finisher receives a unique medal.

A three-evening summer 5K series around Leith Links, Fettes and Inverleith Park in Edinburgh. Events are chip timed, feature prizes and optional finisher medals, with entries priced at £12 per race or £30 for all three.

A community *5 mile* off-road run along canal tow-paths and a loop of Possil Marsh, organised by Springburn Harriers. Entry limited to 200, fee £10, registration at the Leisuredrome; results published within 24 hours.

An evening running event in Eyemouth on 28 August 2026 featuring a certified *5k* with chip timing plus several mini fun runs for children; finishers receive medals, goodie bags and ice cream from Giacopazzi's Gelato.

Follow the iconic West Highland Way on this 53 mile point to point ultramarathon through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Enjoy a fully waymarked route with chip timing and extensive finish line facilities in Tyndrum.
