Trail Running calendar near Whitley Bay 2026-2027

Join NAV4 Daffodil Run & Walk on 28 March 2026 in Pooley Bridge for a scenic 13 mile out and back to Hallin Fell across trails and open slopes. Walkers, runners and families welcome with support and post race tea and cake.

Take on DalesRunner 20 in Reeth, North Yorkshire. This challenging 20 mile trail features steep climbs, ridge running and rocky technical descents through classic Dales scenery; mandatory kit and a personal cup are required.

Join the Cleveland Survival, a challenging 24 mile orienteering across the North York Moors raising funds for Cleveland Mountain Rescue. Expect tough terrain, checkpoint support and a hot meal at the finish.

Tackle the wild slopes of Bollihope Carrs in this scenic 10.5 km fell race with 380 m of climb. Expect rough terrain, steep descents and unmarked navigation so come prepared with full FRA kit. Limited to 50 runners for a fell experience.

Take on the Coledale Horseshoe in the Lake District on Sat 28 Mar 2026, a challenging 13.7 km fell race with 1067 m of climbing and stunning mountain views. Pre entry only and limited to 400 runners so book early.

Join Margisons Miles, a 6 hour charity loop at Community Woods, Ashington, where runners cover as much or as little as they like to support Wansbeck Valley Food Bank and Friends of the Woods. Sweets, water and proceeds support charities.

Tackle the iconic Dales Traverse, a 55 km ultra from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond that crosses the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales, climbs the Nine Standards and finishes beneath Richmond Castle. Expect roughly 1,400 m of ascent.

Moors Traverse sends runners along Wainwrights coast to coast across the North York Moors from Ingleby Cross to Robin Hoods Bay. This scenic 80 km ultra with 1600 m of climbing offers staffed aid stations and full logistical support.

MindOverMoors The OG! is a lively 10 km trail run across the North Yorkshire Moors on Saturday 4 April 2026. Expect 1100 ft of climb on a well marked circular route, plus onsite food and charity fundraising for mental health.
