January 2027

Trail races in Otley on 2 January 2027 offering Half Marathon (14.0 miles) and Marathon (26.2 miles) on the Green Gateways route with checkpoints, trackers and mandatory kit. Maximum 200 entrants, minimum age 18.

A 7 kilometres single-lap trail race on undulating off-road terrain around Brampton, Cumbria, with an entry limit, a bespoke finisher medal and free event photographs.

A chip-timed, fully marked trail event at Grizedale Forest offering two dog-friendly distances. Choose a 10K with 260 m ascent or a 6K with 150 m ascent; up to two dogs per runner are allowed on suitable harnesses.

On 3 January 2027 at Gibside National Trust Wild Deer Events holds 5 mile and 10 mile trail runs across over 600 acres of gardens, woodland and countryside. The event is Canicross friendly and includes chip timing and a finisher medal.

A timed uphill time trial from YHA Borrowdale to the Castle Crag war memorial on Sun 3 Jan 2027. The short 2.5 km course gains 200 m, offers pre-entry and entry on the day, live results, and refreshments for all.

A circular trail race of about 17.5 miles from Robin Hoods Bay with 1700 ft ascent and an 8 hour limit. Checkpoints supply food and drink and a list of mandatory safety kit must be carried.

A winter trail event of about 30 miles on the Cleveland Way and Cinder Track from Robin Hood's Bay toward Scarborough, with roughly 3,400 ft of ascent, staffed checkpoints, mandatory winter safety kit and an 11-hour limit.

February 2027

A winter trail ultra around Pendle in the South Pennines, starting and finishing at Barley Village Hall. Two waymarked route options are offered, approximately 45 miles and 30 miles, open to both runners and walkers.

Experience a unique 10 mile nighttime trail run through the fabled Simonside Hills of Northumberland. Navigate rocky trails and steep climbs under the stars in this atmospheric winter event.

Flat, waterside races along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal offering distances from 10K to ultra marathon, Trail Running Association licensed and supported with feed stations and a sweet-filled finish.
