Trail Running calendar near Brandon 2026-2027

A 42-mile trail ultramarathon across historic Essex from Chipping Ongar to St Peter-on-the-Wall, with varied muddy paths, four staffed checkpoints, GPX navigation and compulsory safety kit.

Trail races around Pitsford Water with 10k and Half Marathon routes from Brixworth Country Park, fully marked courses, water stations, first aid, prizes and a finisher medal.

A trail race at Harrold-Odell Country Park on 13 March 2027 offering 25 km and 50 km distances organised by Thunder Races. Early bird and standard entry prices apply; instalment and transfer options are available.

Multi distance trail event at Hyde Hall Farm on 13/03/2027 offering 10k, half, full and ultra options. The course uses farm grounds with laps, an aid station, secure on site parking and a bespoke finisher medal.

A series of fully marked, fully supported trail and ultra events that prioritise clear waymarking, generous cut-offs, and runnable countryside courses. Distances include an 81-mile Bunyan Trail ultra and 25 km and 50 km Harrold Odell races.

A looped trail event at High Lodge Thetford Forest offering distances from 5k to ultra marathon, lap-based formats, on course aid at the lap point, medal options and refreshments at Oak Lodge. Part of entry fees support forest upkeep.

A 54 mile circular ultra and a 26.2 mile marathon section based at Brixworth Country Park, combining trails, roads and canal towpath with waymarking, checkpoint support and real time GeoTracks tracking.

A Star Wars 50th Anniversary weekend on 5 and 6 June 2027 at Caldecotte, Milton Keynes featuring marathon and half marathon races around Caldecotte Lake, unique finisher medals, on-course water and toilets, and time limits for each race.
