Chiltern Hills 100K
The Chiltern Hills 100K is a 100 km ultra trail race scheduled for 9 May 2026, based at Chesham Guides Headquarters in Lowndes Park, Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The course is an anticlockwise loop that starts and finishes in Chesham and visits multiple Chiltern landmarks.
The route passes Ashridge Estate, Coombe Hill, Whiteleaf Hill, Bledlow Ridge, Great Hampden and Great Missenden. The first leg to the first checkpoint follows the Chiltern Link trail to Hastoe (14 km) and then loops around the Ashridge Estate via Little Gaddesden, including a section of The Ridgeway from Ivinghoe Beacon to Aldbury. Runners return to Hastoe at 41.4 km to access drop bags, then continue along The Ridgeway through Tring Park, Wendover, Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill (57.8 km). The Bledlow Ridge Village Hall checkpoint sits at about 75 km and the final section runs through woodland to Great Missenden before the return to Chesham.
The race is fully marked with arrows and ribbons, uses open GPS tracking and chip timing with live results. There are six checkpoints offering water, hot drinks at selected stations, electrolyte products, gels and solid food. The event is TRA licensed, listed on the UTMB World Series index and is run under UKA rules. Maximum field is 250 runners and minimum age is 20. Time allowed is 18 hours. Required kit includes a mobile phone, GPX route on a device, 0.5 L minimum refillable hydration, waterproof jacket, spare clothing, head torch and basic first aid.
