The Ouray 100 Mile Endurance Run is a 100-mile mountain ultramarathon in Ouray, Colorado, based at Fellin Park. The 2026 edition is scheduled for July 17, 2026. The course is in the San Juan Mountain range and includes fourteen climbs with a total elevation gain of 41,862 feet. The route includes a final climb that rises about 5,000 feet to a location called the Bridge of Heaven, followed by a descent back to Fellin Park. Finishers receive a belt buckle; the finish area is adjacent to the Ouray Hot Springs.
Entry requirements, tracking and awards
Each participant must complete eight hours of volunteer service before July 1 or pay a $100 opt-out donation. Entrants who have not submitted the service form or paid the opt-out fee by July 10 will forfeit their registration. Racers must carry a provided SPOT tracker during the race; locations will be updated every five minutes. The race is no longer a UTMB qualifier. Cash awards are offered: $1,000 to the top male 100-mile finisher and $1,250 to the top female 100-mile finisher; payment is subject to urine and/or blood testing. Banned substances named include steroids, testosterone, EPO, and THC; a THC threshold of 150 ng/ml is noted for a positive result. The event enforces an Ironton Clause requiring withdrawn runners in Ironton to return to Fellin to help support or pace another runner.
