Course, logistics and awards
Courses start in the Quarry Lakes area and follow the Alameda Creek Trail toward Niles Canyon. The Half Marathon and Marathon courses are USATF certified. The route is described as relatively flat and will be marked with directional signage. Surface types: 5K and 10K on crushed rock; Half Marathon and Marathon on about 64% crushed rock and 36% asphalt.
Aid stations are provided every 2 to 5 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own fluid container. Drop bags are available for 30K and Marathon at the start/finish. T-shirts are provided to pre-registered runners and all finishers receive a custom medal. Overall and age-group placings use Clock Time for results.
