ZombieRunner Quarry Lakes is a multi-distance trail event held at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area (Ensenada Pavilion) in Fremont, CA. The course follows the Alameda Creek Trail up toward the mouth of Niles Canyon and is described as relatively flat and easy to follow, with directional signage along the route. The half marathon course is USATF certified.
Event logistics include park entrance passes provided to participants, bib and shirt pickup on race day at the Ensenada Pavilion, and a recommended arrival about 45 minutes before a participant's event to collect race materials. To guarantee a shirt, registration must be completed at least 10 business days before the event. All events have a 4-hour time limit.

Aid stations are fully stocked every 2 to 5 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink; participants are encouraged to carry at least 20 oz. of water between stations. The event operates cupless aid stations; participants are asked to bring their own fluid container. Headphones are allowed on dirt road sections only and are not permitted on single-track trail, while crossing paved roads, at aid stations, or when crossing the finish line. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Awards and timing: All finishers receive a custom medal and pre-registered runners receive T-shirts. Overall top three male and female finishers at each distance receive awards and race credits; age-group medals are awarded to the top three in each category.
