Trail Running at Quarry Lakes

ZombieRunner Quarry Lakes takes place at the Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area in Fremont, California. The event base is located at the Ensenada Pavilion. The courses are set within a scenic natural environment, following various paths through the regional park and along the Alameda Creek Trail.

Participants can choose from several distance options that utilize the flat terrain of the area. The routes extend toward the mouth of Niles Canyon. The Half Marathon course is USATF certified (CA19047RS). In addition to the trail races, there is a dedicated short dash for young children and a testing distance.

Available distances include:

  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on a USATF certified trail course.
  • 10K trail race with specific registration categories for adults and youth.
  • 5K trail race featuring separate age groups for children and teenagers.

Held May 3, 2025 at Almaden Quicksilver County Park, this trail event offers distances from a kids run to 50K on dirt roads and single track, with marked courses, multiple aid stations, drop bag service at the Hacienda and free parking.

Experience the scenery of Tilden Regional Park at the Grizzly Peak Trail Run. Choose from various distances including a 50K and marathon starting from the shores of Lake Anza in Berkeley.
