Event

The Windmill Way Wander is scheduled for 17 January 2026 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. Entrants must be 18 or over on that date. Entry fees are shown in a range from about £27 to £38. The event uses time cut-offs, including a seven-hour cut-off and a five-hour cut-off option. A bespoke finisher medal is provided, with a lucky-dip finisher medal option for some categories.

Course and facilities

The event uses the Windmill Way route on roads and has rolling hills with total elevation around 600 ft. The route passes through the villages of Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham, and the windmill at Dalham is visible from the course. Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10 km. Race HQ or base camp is at the start and lap point and will host a water/aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
