The Windmill Way Wander takes place on 17 January 2026 at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event offers multiple fixed-distance options:

Maximum entries are 300. Minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 16 January 2026. There is a seven-hour cut-off for the event.

Course and facilities

The route uses the Windmill Way and is entirely on road, with rolling hills and total elevation around 600 ft. Runners pass through the villages of Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham; the event is named for the windmill visible at Dalham. Distances under the half marathon are run out-and-back with a required turnaround. The half marathon is one loop, the marathon is two loops, and the ultra includes additional running to the 5k turnaround point.

Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10 km. Race HQ/Base Camp and the main aid station are at the start and lap point. Parking is included in the entry.
