The event offers the following distance choices:

Course format varies by distance. Runners covering less than a half marathon follow an out-and-back route with a required turnaround. The course includes rolling hills with total elevation around 600 ft and passes through the villages of Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham. The event is named for the Dalham windmill, which is visible on the course, and offers views toward Dalham Hall.

Support features include an aid station with drinks and nibbles approximately every 10k and a water/aid station at base camp. Parking is included in the entry price. The event operates cupless; participants should bring their own bottle or cup. A bespoke event medal is supplied at the finish, with a lucky dip finisher option also noted. Maximum entrants 300; minimum age 18; entries close 15/01/2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
