Turkey Trot
Turkey Trot is a six hour timed event at the Suffolk Running Centre, IP29 5AX. The course uses the BACK QUACK route and features a single 10.5 km loop combining road and trail surfaces.
Participants may run as many laps as they wish and may rest between laps. The event suits runners attempting a range of official distances, including:
- Official 5k
- Official 10k
- Half marathon
- Full marathon
- Ultra marathon
Parking is included with entry. A marshal will assist with parking on arrival and direct runners to the race registration area to collect bibs. Race HQ and the lap point are at the start; a water and aid station will be provided there. The event will use a mass start procedure.
Baggage space is available in a hut near the start but items are left at the owner’s risk and should not include valuables. The event has moved to a cupless format so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Organisers suggest road trainers but note trail shoes may be helpful depending on recent weather.
Runners who cannot attend in person can register for virtual spaces offered by the organiser Zig Zag Running. Medal options include a bespoke event medal or a standard finisher medal depending on the chosen entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
