The Valley of the Owls Run takes place in Suffolk, utilizing a course that passes through the village of Ousden. The area is recognized for its historic roads and rural scenery. The event headquarters is located at the Suffolk Running Centre in Bury St Edmunds.
Participants can choose from several distance options:

The course layout varies by distance. Participants in the 5 km and 10 km categories follow the Goldings Hills Route, which is designed as an out-and-back path. The Half Marathon utilizes the Dalham Kiln route, consisting of a single loop. Those completing the Marathon perform two loops of this route, while Ultra runners complete two loops plus an additional segment to the 5 km turnaround point. A central aid station at the base camp provides water and snacks, with additional stations positioned every 10 km.
