Valley of the Owls Run

The Valley of the Owls Run is a multi-distance road and trail event held at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The route passes through the village of Ousden, known locally as the Valley of the Owls, and uses country lanes and some of the oldest roads in England.

The event offers multiple distance choices and route formats. The Dalham Kiln route forms the half marathon loop. Runners on the 5k and 10k follow the Goldings Hills route. Distances under a half marathon use an out and back format and require a turnaround at a designated point. The half marathon is one loop, the full marathon is two loops, and the ultra extends to the 5k turnaround point.

A seven hour cut off applies. Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are placed approximately every 10k. Race HQ and the base camp are located at the start and lap point and include the water and aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event is cupless so participants must supply their own bottles or cups for refilling. Only bone conduction headphones are permitted. Entries close on 06/06/2026 and the minimum entry age is 18. Entrants receive an email confirmation and a race briefing information pack. Finisher medals are bespoke with a lucky dip option for some categories.
