Zig Zag Marathon & Half Marathon

The event takes place on Sunday 10 May 2026 at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. Two fixed-distance road races are offered on measured routes with mostly flat terrain and some rises.

The marathon uses the officially measured Kirtling route, which is fully on road and mildly undulating. The half marathon is a single-loop course using the Windmill Route. Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10k. The Race HQ is located at the start and lap point and hosts a water and aid station. Parking is included in entry.

The event has a seven-hour cut off and a maximum of 300 entrants. Minimum age is 18. Entries close on 09/05/2026. The event is cupless so participants must bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Only bone conductor headphones are permitted. Finishers receive a bespoke medal or, where available, a lucky dip finisher medal from previous events.
