Zig Zag Marathon and Half
The Zig Zag Marathon and Half take place at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event uses measured road routes: the Kirtling Marathon route and the Windmill half marathon route.

- Half marathon - Windmill Route, one loop
The Kirtling marathon route is described as mildly undulating and scenic. Aid stations offering drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10k. Race HQ or base camp is located at the start and lap point and hosts a water and aid station.
Parking is included in the entry price. There is a seven hour cut off for the marathon. The event has gone cupless so participants must bring their own bottle or cup for refilling. Only bone conductor headphones are permitted. The routes run on quiet public roads; runners should be aware of traffic when stepping out and are advised to wear something bright.
