Zig Zag Challenge

Zig Zag Challenge is held at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon IP27 0AF. The event offers a range of looped running distances on a course set within the grounds of the forest.

Distances available include:

The route uses a 5 km loop. A heavy half marathon is listed as 5 laps by default with the option to change to 6 or 7 laps on the day. The ultra marathon is listed as 9 laps by default with the option to increase laps up to 12 according to time available. There is a six hour event cut off and some starts use a four hour cut off.

Facilities include a water aid station at the lap point, registration and post race tea, coffee and cake at Oak Lodge, and discounted parking for participants with a QR code. The course is mainly pathway with a small section of trails and woodland; the final route is to be confirmed. The event is cupless so participants should bring cups or bottles for refilling. Trail runs nearby

A guided 10 km trail run from Taverham along parts of the Mariotts Way through fields and woodland, led at a conversational pace with ability-based groups and a qualified run leader.

A volunteer-run running event in Willingham, Cambridgeshire with chip timing on flat country roads, footpaths and bridleways. Distances include 10 km and 6.5 km and children's races follow the main events.

A roughly five mile off road trail run at High Lodge Thetford Forest with chipped timing and a finishers medal. Entries are non refundable but transfers to another runner are allowed until 06/07/2026.

Three measured routes through Mid Suffolk countryside on 11 July 2026, including a 31.5 mile option that passes 10 historic churches. Shorter routes branch off the main course and rejoin for a common finish with checkpoints and refreshments..
