YMCA Brickyard Run 5mi / 5k : Hobart Middle School
The event takes place at Hobart Middle School, 36 E 8th St, Hobart, IN. It includes multiple distances and a defined road and trail route that begins on 8th Street, proceeds through Water Street, E. 7th Street and Lake Street, continues onto the Oak Savannah Trail for an out-and-back section, and finishes on Lake Park Ave at Kate Corgan Field. The 5K and 5 Mile races begin and end at the same points and use different turnaround points on the Oak Savannah Trail.

The 5 Mile run is a Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup Race for ages 15 and older; the 5K is a Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup Race for ages 14 and under. Computerized on the bib timing by T & H Timing will be used for official results. Trademark brick awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group; masters, overall winners, and Athena and Clydesdale category participants also receive brick awards.
Registration fees vary by date: the 5K and 5 Mile runs have an early price of $30 and increase after June 6; the 2K is $20 early and increases after June 6. Discounted pricing for children age 10 and under is available. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after June 7.
