45th Annual YMCA Brickyard Run

The Brickyard Run takes place on June 27, 2026, at Hobart Middle School (36 E 8th St, Hobart, IN 46342). This is the event's 45th year. The program includes a non-competitive 2K Family Fun Run and Walk and two timed races that are part of the Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup series.

Events and distances

  • 5 Mile Race (Gold Cup, ages 15+)
  • 5K Race (Gold Cup, ages 14 and under)
  • 2K Family Fun Run and Walk (non-competitive)

Course and awards

Both timed races begin and end at the same points. The route starts on 8th Street, proceeds east, then follows Water Street, E. 7th Street and Lake Street back to 8th Street, continues onto the Oak Savannah Trail for an out-and-back segment, and finishes on Lake Park Ave at Kate Corgan Field. The 5K and 5 Mile have different turnaround points on the Oak Savannah Trail. Computerized on-the-bib timing will be used by T & H Timing. Trademark "brick" awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group; masters, overall winners, Athena and Clydesdale participants also receive bricks.

Registration opens January 1, 2026. Fees through June 6: 5K and 5 Mile $30, 2K $20; fees from June 7: 5K and 5 Mile $35, 2K $25. Discounted pricing for children age 10 and under is $15.
