YHA 14 mile trail run

The YHA 14 mile trail run is scheduled for 22 November 2026 and runs under TRA race permit 7715. The route begins with a climb and includes sections that can be slippery, with muddy puddles and chalk descents. A trail narrative and route files are available for download and include links to Strava and Garmin mapmyrun route maps.

Participants collect their race number and an event truckers cap at the YHA cafe before making their way to the start line at the top of the bridge. Bottled water is provided at the beginning of the course, there is a water station approximately halfway, and tea, coffee and cake are available at the finish.

Travel advice notes the Lewes–Seaford rail line to Southease as the preferred public transport option; parking in the immediate area is very limited. Organisers recommend trail shoes and appropriate clothing, water and nutrition for the conditions.

Additional practical details: entry fees vary by date, listed amounts are £19, £20 and £23 at the advertised deadlines. Non TRA or UKA members pay a £2 levy on entry. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each entry. The event field is limited to 50 places. Course records are listed as men 1:39:15 (2023) and women 1:52:59 (2021).
