Event overview

The YHA 14 mile trail run is scheduled for 14 June 2026 at YHA South Downs. The event is the fifth edition of this off-road trail run and is held under TRA race permit 7715. The advertised distance is 14 mile. The organiser is Multisport Management. Total places are capped at 50 and the event status is open.

Course and logistics

The route begins with a climb and includes sections that can be very slippery under foot, with muddy puddles and chalk descents. A trail narrative and downloadable GPX route are available, with links to Strava, Garmin and MapMyRun route maps. Bottled water is provided at the start, there is a water station halfway, and tea, coffee and cake are provided at the finish. Participants are advised to take sufficient clothing, water and nutrition for the weather and are recommended to wear trail shoes.

Getting to the start is easiest by train or bicycle, using Southease on the Lewes-Seaford line; parking in the area is very limited. Non-TRA/UKA members pay a £2 levy on entry. Entrants must be 18 or over. Price tiers are listed for different entry dates, with early, standard and later rates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
