YHA 14 mile trail run

The event is scheduled for 14 June 2026 and covers 14 miles on trail. The race holds TRA permit 7715. The course begins with a climb and includes sections that can be slippery, with muddy puddles and chalk descents. Course record times are: male 1:39:15 (2023) and female 1:52:59 (2021). No one under 18 may compete. Total places are 50.

Entry, route and facilities

Entry prices are tiered: £17 until 31 Dec 2025, £20 until 31 Mar 2026, and £23 until 31 May 2026. Non TRA / UKA members pay a £2 levy on entry. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Numbers and event caps are distributed from the YHA cafe. A GPX route is available for download and the organiser provides links to Strava, Garmin and MapMyRun route maps.

Bottled water is provided at the start, there is a water station halfway, and free tea, coffee and cake at the finish. Organisers advise participants to bring suitable clothing, water and nutrition for the weather and to wear trail shoes. The recommended access is by train or bicycle to Southease on the Lewes-Seaford line because parking in the area is very limited. Organiser: Multisport Management.
