YETI OR NOT Snowshoe Invasion

The YETI OR NOT Snowshoe Invasion takes place on January 31, 2026 at Mountain Creek in Vernon, New Jersey. The event is organized by the Vernon Township Board of Recreation and uses Mountain Creek facilities, with participants transported to the top of the mountain by the resort lift before starting their snowshoe activities. The event welcomes runners, walkers and people trying snowshoes for the first time. Participants are asked to bring their own snowshoes (BYOS).

Registration and check-in occur at the Biergarten in Mountain Creek’s Red Tail Lodge. The early discount base registration fee is $25 for registrations completed by 12/31/2025; after January 1, 2026 the registration fee is $30. Join the Morris County Empanada Trail on March 29 in Morris Plains NJ with 5K and 10K runs over scenic mixed terrain. Entry includes a long sleeve shirt, finisher medal and an empanada with proceeds benefiting the Arthritis Foundation.

Squatchy Onesiefest 5K at Ramapo Valley is a festive trail run with a handcrafted finisher medal and awards for onesie wearers. Limited to 200, the flat gravel loop welcomes road shoes and offers aid and parking.

Run or hike rugged woodland trails at the Mahlon Winter Donut Trail Run and Hike, with 5 and 10 mile options around Saffin's Pond. Trail markers keep you on course and the event runs rain, snow, or shine for a true winter adventure.

Take on MT. TAMMANY 10, an almost 40 mile looped trail challenge in the Delaware Water Gap with ten summit climbs and more than 10,000 feet of elevation gain. Technical, rugged terrain and river crossings make for a bold, scenic test.
