Event Overview

The Wyoming Valley Striders are organizing the 34th Annual Spring Trail Run, which also serves as the 12th Jen Stec Memorial. The event honors Jen Stec, a six-time former women's winner of the race. It takes place at Frances Slocum State Park in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Race Details

This event features a single 5.3-mile distance. The course is described as a trail run primarily on grass and earth surfaces. It is an age-group graded race, meaning runners start at staggered times based on their age and gender according to a published handicap chart. Awards are determined by these staggered start times, not by net running time. The top 15 finishers receive a medal.

Registration and Logistics

Registration is conducted online only; race day entries are not accepted. The pre-entry fee is $10. Online registration closes at noon on Friday, May 15, 2026. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Race bib pick-up for pre-registered runners begins on race day. Participants should bring their own water for the run, though individual water bottles will be available at the finish line.

The event is open to all; membership in the Wyoming Valley Striders is not required to participate. Complete results are posted online at RunSignup.com, on the WVS website, and on the WVS Facebook page after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
