Dark Sky 220

Dark Sky 220, Cherry Springs 110 and Wooly 50K

This set of trail events takes place in the Lock Haven, PA area from October 25 to October 30, 2026. The races are organized by the Warrior Trail Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and proceeds support trail running events and coaching scholarships for veteran athletes selected to the WTF Athlete Team.

Distances offered:

• 220 miles, over 40,000 feet of elevation gain.
• 110 miles, nearly 20,000 feet of elevation gain.
• 50K.

Runners may choose among several styles: Supported, Self-Supported, Unsupported, or Team entries in Supported or Self-Supported formats. A virtual option is available for all distances, allowing participants to create a personal course and log miles for fundraising. GPX files for the course are available on Caltopo via the event website. The course contains plentiful water sources.

Registration is set at $22 per person regardless of distance or style, with a suggested fundraising commitment of $300 and a reduced suggestion of $100 for the 50K. All participants must register, complete required questions, and sign a waiver. Registration closes on October 24 at 11:59 PM ET. Actual start and finish locations may change based on permitting.

Organizers welcome volunteers and sponsors; volunteers may assist on course or with shuttles, and sponsors may provide products or services for runners and crews. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
