Event Overview

The Warrior Trail Foundation presents the Dark Sky 220, Cherry Springs 110, and Wooly 50K adventure runs. The event takes place in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

Distances and Formats

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • Dark Sky 220: A 220-mile course.
  • Cherry Springs 110: A 110-mile course.
  • Wooly 50K: A 50K course.

The event offers a "DIY adventure" format. Runners can choose their style of participation:

  • Supported: Crew and pacers are permitted, with access at designated points.
  • Self-Supported: Runners cache their own supplies along the route.
  • Unsupported: Runners carry everything from the start.
  • Team Option: Teams can participate in either the Supported or Self-Supported style.

Course and Logistics

The course traverses a trail system in Pennsylvania. A virtual participation option is also available for all distances. The GPX file for the course is available via Caltopo; links are on the event website. Start and finish locations are subject to change based on permits.

Registration and Fundraising

Registration is $22 per person for all distances and styles. There is a suggested fundraising commitment: $300 for the 220-mile and 110-mile distances, and $100 for the 50K distance. All proceeds go to the Warrior Trail Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports trail running events and coaching scholarships for veteran athletes.

All participants must register, complete required questions, and sign a waiver. Registration closes on the Saturday before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
