Woodland Ramble Trail Run

The Woodland Ramble Trail Run is a timed athletic event held at Coogan Farm in Mystic, Connecticut. This inaugural trail race is organized through a collaboration between Kelley's Pace and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. The course traverses various natural landscapes, including high meadows, wooded areas, and open fields within the Coogan Farm and Nature Center grounds.

Participants can choose from the following options:

  • 5K Trail Run: A timed race on the trails of Coogan Farm.
  • Ramble (walk): A non-timed walking alternative that requires a separate registration.

The event is capped at 100 participants. Due to the terrain and nature of the trails, strollers and other wheeled equipment are not permitted on the course. On the day of the race, onsite vendors provide a shoe demo program where attendees can test various footwear at no additional cost.

The race starts and finishes at Coogan Farm. Following the completion of the distances, an awards ceremony is held featuring light food and refreshments. Attendees also have the opportunity to meet animal ambassadors from the Nature Center. Proceeds from the event support the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, an environmental organization that has operated in Connecticut since 1946.
