The Witches in the Woods 5K/2K takes place on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 South Court Street, Crown Point, IN 46307. The event offers both a timed run and a non-timed walk around the fairgrounds at night.

Entry fees listed for the 5K are $30 for adults and $20 for ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 enter free. Shirts are available for an additional $16 through October 19; a limited number may be available after the event. Finisher medals are provided to the first 200 registrants.
The course runs through trees and along fairground roads at night; participants are asked to bring flashlights or headlamps. The event includes awards for top overall finishers and top three in each age group, plus prizes for best costumes. The Hometown Hocus Pocus Market is included with entry and features performances by the Sanderson Sisters, shopping, live music, food, craft drinks, trick-or-treating, costume contests, and hay rides. Strollers are welcome.
