Winterläufe - The Winter Race takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026. It is the 17th annual Winterläufe 8K, hosted by the Frankenmuth Jaycees. Proceeds support local charities and community efforts. Awards will be given to top finishers in each division.

Course and race amenities
The event uses a scenic out-and-back course that passes through stretches of Frankenmuth countryside and crosses the 1904 Gugel Bridge. Standard registration includes a long-sleeved, winter-themed cotton tee, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. The Economy options do not include the shirt or medal but include access to the start and snack table. A Sport-Tek long-sleeve upgrade is available for an additional $5. Limited quantities of additional merchandise will be available at the Winterläufe Store. A January 23, 2026 registration deadline is listed to guarantee a shirt and medal.
