The Winter Night Trail Run takes place January 10, 2026 at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event uses a mostly single-track loop of 6.55 miles. Distances offered:
- Quarter: 1 lap
- Half Marathon: 2 laps
The race is held at night and a headlamp or flashlight is required. The field is limited and the event is chip timed with disposable chips attached to the back of the bib. Runners are started in small waves to spread out the field and both distances begin together. Race day registration is not offered for this sold-out event.
Course, services and rules
The 6.55-mile loop has two water stops; half marathon participants get an additional stop at the start/finish. Each stop provides water and Gatorade or an equivalent. Facilities are portables only at the start/finish and at aid stations. Parking is available in the park; park entrance fees are collected on entry and participants are asked not to drive on the grass. The north gate will be closed for exit after the race; use the main/south gate. Photos will be taken and are free to download. Entries are non-refundable, medals are given only to finishers of the live event, and virtual entries are not offered. Awards include overall top three and age-group prizes.
