8-Hour Dream Endurance Race & Cat Nap 5K, Indianapolis
The event is a fixed-duration endurance race where participants cover as much distance as they can in eight hours. It is held on the Butler University campus at the west side of Hinkle Fieldhouse, 510 W 49th St, Indianapolis. Participants may run, walk, or stroll over multiple laps on the provided courses.
Course options include:
- The Long Course, 5K
- The Short Course, 1.91 miles
Both courses include Bulldog’s Revenge Hill, a notable uphill section on the route.
Participation formats include solo entries and team relays, plus a companion 5K. Solo entries are open to ages 14 and older. Team relays are offered in 3 to 4 person and 5 to 6 person formats. Team categories are Female, Male, and Coed. Coed team composition requirements are stated for each team size, and RC Cup teams must be certified nonprofit running clubs fielding a six person coed team with three males and three females.
Event support and on-site provisions include a tent village with assigned 10 by 10 foot boundaries and vendor and club participation. Site rules note that tents must stay within assigned spaces, dogs must be leashed, and open flames are prohibited.
