The 8-Hour Dream Endurance Race is a fixed-duration endurance event where participants have eight hours to run, walk, or stroll as far as they can. The event includes a separate Cat Nap 5K that runs concurrently with the main race. Teams can enter in male, female, or coed divisions with two team sizes: 3-4 members and 5-6 members. The RC Cup and FC Cup are 6-person coed divisions requiring three male and three female participants. FC Cup teams may be entered multiple times by the same organization; RC Cup allows only one entry per running club. Coed team gender minimums: for 3-person teams one female (for 4-person teams two females); for 5-person teams two females and for 6-person teams three females (new for 2025).
Location and onsite information
The event is located on the west side of Hinkle Fieldhouse on the Butler University campus, 510 W 49th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208. The event includes a tent village with assigned 10 x 10 spaces; tents must not extend beyond assigned boundaries. General tenting is also possible in unassigned open areas. Onsite rules include keeping dogs on leash and prohibiting open flames. A post-race party and closing ceremonies are part of the event; the party features a beer garden, music, and complimentary food. Official sponsors and supporters are listed by the organizer.
