The Prairie On Fire Backyard Ultra is a timed running event following the Backyard Ultra format. The event is scheduled to take place at White River Campground in Noblesville, Indiana.

Course and Format

The race begins at 8:00 AM. Participants must complete a 4.167-mile loop within one hour. Upon successful completion, runners line up again at the top of the next hour to repeat the loop. This cycle continues until only one runner remains.

The course for the 2026 edition is planned to feature a dirt and gravel day loop through Koteewi Park, followed by a paved trail out-and-back section along E 234th Street. The event organizer notes the course will be identical or very similar to the previous year's routes.
