Royal Beast 12 Hour Run/Walk/Relay
The Royal Beast is a 12 hour run and walk event held on August 1, 2026 at Southeastway Park in New Palestine, IN. Participants choose between a dirt trail or a paved trail that loop through the woodsy park; each loop is about one to two miles long.
The event offers two entry formats: solo competitors who complete as many loops as they can in 12 hours, and relay teams that alternate loops. Teams may include between 2 and 8 members and may choose to use either the dirt or the paved course. A scrolling screen displays loop totals for individuals and teams.
Registration includes a unique Royal Beast finisher medal and a Royal Beast shirt. Additional event features listed for participants include a countdown clock, light snacks and bottled water, a DJ providing music and announcements, and an awards celebration with pizza. Awards are planned for overall male and female finishers and for top teams; first, second, and third place overall and team placements receive medals.
Participants are invited to bring pop up tents and chairs. An open bar will be available for participants aged 21 and over offering beer, wine, and Hard Seltzer, and root beer will be available for others. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
