Winter Downs 200

The Winter Downs 200 is a 200 mile continuous trail run held from 9 to 13 December 2026. The course forms a large loop around the South of England and starts and finishes at Juniper Hall, Old London Road, Dorking. The route uses established long distance paths including the North Downs Way, Vanguard Way, South Downs Way, Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way.

Runners have up to 96 hours to complete the single stage course. Live tracking is available across the entire event. Participants may have a crew and access a drop bag at three major aid stations where hot food and sleeping facilities are provided; the clock continues to run throughout the event. The route includes long sections between aid stations and undulating terrain, with extended hours of darkness each day.

The published route description begins on the North Downs Way near Box Hill, travels east for about 18 miles to the Vanguard Way at Botley Hill, then south for about 45 miles to Alfriston. Runners then follow roughly 80 miles of the South Downs Way to Exton, continue north east via the Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way for about 32 miles to Farnham, rejoin the North Downs Way and complete the final 25 miles back to Juniper Hall.

The event is held under a UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA; the permit number is to be confirmed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
