Winter Downs 100

The Winter Downs 100 is a 100 mile continuous trail run taking place 11 to 13 December 2026 in the South of England. The race is point to point, starting at Amberley Museum and finishing at Juniper Hall on the north side of Box Hill. The route follows the South Downs Way, Wayfarers Walk, St Swithuns Way and the North Downs Way.

Runners have up to 35 hours to complete the course. Live tracking is available across the event. Competitors may be accompanied by a crew and may use drop bags at three checkpoints, where hot food and volunteer support are provided. This is a single stage race and the clock does not stop. The event takes place in winter conditions with long periods of darkness each day, long sections between aid stations and undulating terrain.

The route mirrors the second half of the Winter Downs 200 and is intended as a step toward longer events. Route segments are: west for 42 miles on the South Downs Way to the Wayfarers Walk intersection near Exton, then north east for 32 miles on the Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way to Farnham, followed by 26 miles on the North Downs Way to Box Hill and Juniper Hall.

The event is held under a UK Athletics permit through the TRA; permit number is pending. Minimum age to enter is 20 years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
