Winter Downs 100

The Winter Downs 100 is a 100 mile continuous trail run held 11 December 2026 that runs point to point from Amberley Museum to Juniper Hall. The route follows the South Downs Way, Wayfarers Walk, St Swithuns Way and North Downs Way and is the same course as the second half of the Winter Downs 200. Total elevation gain is listed at about 10,000 ft (3,050 m). Terrain is a mix of trail and road, approximately 84% trail and 16% road.

Runners have a 35 hour overall time limit and live tracking is provided across the event. There are three aid stations on course; each provides hot food and volunteer medical support. Runners may be crewed at specified locations and may use drop bags at the three checkpoints. Drop bags are optional, must be submitted separately for each checkpoint, and are limited to 10 kg and 50 litres; bags are weighed at registration.

Entries are limited to an anticipated field of 100 starters and are subject to qualification and acceptance by race management. Applicants must declare previous running or multi sport experience; completion of a single stage trail 100 km event or equivalent winter or mountain self powered journeys is cited as a suitable reference. Pacers are not permitted. A full mandatory kit list is enforced, including communication, navigation, lighting, waterproofs, thermal layers, first aid and food supplies.
