Event Overview
This event is a pre-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot with 5k and 10k distances. It is a trail run that takes place on the grounds of the Manassas National Battlefield in Centreville, Virginia. The course includes cross-country paths, dirt trails, a boardwalk, and some gravel paths, with some hills. The 10k event is two laps of the 5k course. Participants can choose to run in person or virtually.
Runner Benefits
Registered runners receive several items: a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and a glass of wine from the Winery at Bull Run. The event is chip-timed. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before November 11; after that date, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration Information
Early registration fees are listed as $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k until October 31. Prices increase after that date and again on race morning. Race-day registration is available, with participants advised to arrive approximately one hour early.
Series Participation
Race points contribute to the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, as well as their Sippin Series. The "Back of the Pack" is a series for participants with paces slower than 12:00 per mile.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at the event. For the 10k, there are three water stations; the 5k has one water station. Gatorade may be available. Restrooms are located inside the winery. The event has a weather policy stating it will proceed rain or shine, with cancellations being rare.
Awards and Results
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are also presented. Live results are posted on Athlinks.com, and a QR code for results is available at the race. Final results with series points are posted the following Monday.
