Wine 4 Wildlife 4-Miler

The Wine 4 Wildlife 4-Miler is organized at Fables and Feathers vineyard in Goodview, VA, with both an on-site event and a virtual option. The on-site route is a four mile course that winds in and around the vines and property at Fables and Feathers. The event supports the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center.

Rather than traditional chip timing, overall male and female winners for the on-site prediction challenge are determined by how close they finish to their predicted finish time. Participants who wish to be eligible for prediction prizes leave watches, phones, and devices at the start line and run without technology. Participation in the prediction challenge is optional and must be declared prior to race day. Prize packages for prediction winners are provided by Hoka and Fables and Feathers Winery.

All finishers receive a limited-edition Wine 4 Wildlife wine-stopper medal. Presenting the medal at the tasting room entitles the holder to a free glass of Fables and Feathers wine; additional tastings and purchases are available onsite and event merchandise may be offered. The tasting room remains open late for the event. The on-site event coincides with a Christmas in July activity at the winery where participants wearing festive Santa gear may receive store credit.
