Wimbleball Trail Races

The event takes place on 28 August 2026 at Wimbleball Lake, near Dulverton, Somerset. It is organised by Sportiva Events and forms part of a wider Wimbleball sports festival that also includes triathlons, open water swims and cycle sportives. Both race routes run around the lake and include off-road terrain with a short section of tarmac over the dam. Each race is a single lap of its course.

Categories, entry and facilities

Entry prices range from £12 to £25. Age requirements vary by category: the 10K event requires entrants aged 15 or over; canicross categories are listed with a higher minimum age (16 or over) where specified; the 5K requires entrants aged 12 or over, with a junior 5K option for ages 8 to 11. Race entry includes electronic RFID chip timing, a fully marked and marshalled course, a feed station, a custom finisher medal and category podium prizes. Event facilities and services noted by the organiser include professional event photos, toilets, parking at Wimbleball, and on-site camping available for an additional charge.
