Wimbleball Trail Races

The Wimbleball Trail Races take place at Wimbleball Lake near Dulverton, Somerset. This event is part of a larger activity weekend and features two distances held on single-lap routes. The courses consist primarily of trail paths, supplemented by a section of tarmac that allows participants to run across the dam.

The event offers specific categories for different age groups, including an under-12 option for the shorter distance. Entry includes a custom finishers medal and finish line refreshments, consisting of beer and snacks. Awards are presented for various category winners and podium finishers. Cross Dartmoor from east to west on this 50km or 16 mile traverse featuring self navigation and live GPS tracking. Runners can participate solo or in teams and enjoy fully supported feed stations and a finish line medal.

Trail races at Escot Park return for a third year, offering a half marathon and an approximately 10.5 km 10K with canicross options. Off road routes include climbs and muddy sections, with chip timing, medals and category prizes.

A trail event in Axminster on 29 March 2026 with 12 km, 5 km and 3 km routes over hilly, muddy terrain. Medals, basic facilities and limited parking at the school are provided.
