Wildflower Trail Run : Bastrop State Park, Texas
Wildflower is a two day trail running event held at Bastrop State Park in Bastrop, Texas, on Mother’s Day weekend in 2026. The event has been run annually since 2016 and uses singletrack trails through pine forest and wildflower areas that include sections of sand, rock, rolling climbs, and descents. The course also passes areas affected by the 2011 fire and sections showing the regrowth of the Lost Pines.
The 2026 weekend adds a new start and finish staging area and updated routes. New offerings include a family friendly 1 mile walk, a kids run, the 50 50 Challenge to run a 50K on both days, and Double 5s to race a 5M and a 5K across the weekend. Rucking divisions are available for some distances. Saturday features an evening community gathering by the Colorado River with live music.
Event operations emphasize a community focused experience with clearly marked courses and well stocked aid stations. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own hydration device. Shirts and medals are produced through recycled or zero waste programs. The organizer supports Texas Search and Rescue. Full event details and official registration are available through the event registration page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
