Wildflower Trail Race
Wildflower is a two-day trail event held at Bastrop State Park with parking at Mayfest in Bastrop, Texas. The event uses single-track trails that pass through pine, sand, and rock, and includes rolling climbs, descents, and sections showing the 2011 fire impact and regrowth of the Lost Pines.
Distances offered include:
- Saturday: 5k, 5M, 12M, 50k, 5M Ruck
- Sunday: 1 mile Family Walk, 5M, Half Marathon, Marathon, 5M Ruck
The 2026 edition features a new start and finish staging area and new routes, plus a kids run, a family one mile walk, a 50/50 Challenge of completing a 50k on each day, and Double 5s options in both running and rucking divisions.
Logistics note that there is no parking inside Bastrop State Park on race days; shuttle service operates between Mayfest parking and the start/finish area. All participants 12 years or older must have a park special events pass; runners receive access via their race bib. Camping and RV sites are reserved through the state park system and are limited.
Aid support includes a staffed aid station at the start/finish, a staffed station at Harmon Road, and unmanned water points on course. All runners are required to carry their own hydration.
