Wildflower Trail Races - Bastrop State Park, Texas
Wildflower is a two-day trail running event held in Bastrop State Park near Bastrop, Texas. The races use single-track trails that pass through pine, sand, and rocky sections with rolling climbs and descents. The course travels through areas affected by the 2011 fire and areas of regrowth in the Lost Pines.
Distances and formats include:
- 50k on Saturday and Sunday
- Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday
- 12-mile on Saturday
- 5-mile run on both days
- 5k on both days
- 1-mile family walk and kids run on both days
- 5-mile ruck on both days
- 50/50 Challenge by completing a 50k on each day
- Double 5's options in running and rucking divisions
Logistics note that there is no parking inside Bastrop State Park on race days; event parking is at Mayfest with shuttle buses to the park. All participants must carry their own hydration. Aid is provided with a fully stocked main aid station at the start/finish, an on-course aid station at Harmon Road, and additional unmanned water points. Drop bag and personal gear areas are available at the start/finish. Pacers are not allowed and crew assistance is limited to the start/finish area and designated aid access.
