Autumn Harvest Trail Weekend
Autumn Harvest Trail Weekend is a two-day trail running event at Lake Bastrop South Shore Park in Bastrop, Texas, held October 10-11, 2026. The weekend presents multiple distance options across the park's Lost Pines trails and lakeside sections.
The centerpiece is a last-person-standing backyard ultra run on a roughly 4.16-mile loop with a field cap of 50 runners. Runners depart each hour and must complete each loop before the next hour begins; missing a cutoff eliminates a runner. If multiple runners survive the full period, the winner is determined by the lowest cumulative time across all completed loops. Headlamps and mandatory night gear are required for overnight sections. A secondary Loblolly Redemption loop of about 5.1 km becomes available for runners who fail to complete the main loop.
Other course formats include out-and-back laps and looped laps across the North-South Trailway, Gideon Loop, Swift Trail, and Loblolly Loop. Aid stations are positioned frequently: approximately every 2.1 miles on the backyard ultra and every 2.5 miles on the longer distance events. Terrain is rolling with moderate elevation changes and a mix of single-track and wider trail sections. Trails pass through loblolly pine forest and offer lakeside views.
Included with registration are a custom finisher medal, race shirt if registered by the deadline, chip timing, staffed aid stations, medical support, and race photography. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
