The White Tank Throwdown is scheduled for January 24, 2026 at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, Arizona. The event offers two trail distances:

  • 30K
  • 10K

The race uses park trails with a mix of perimeter and canyon routes. The start/finish is at Area 4 of the park. There is a vehicle parking fee of $7. The event will run in most weather; extreme heat may shorten the course. Refunds are not offered.

Courses and logistics

The 30K course includes perimeter trails (Ironwood and Waddell) plus Ford Canyon, Mesquite Canyon, and Willow Canyon. Ford Canyon is run twice and includes light scrambling and sandy sections. The published total elevation gain is about 2,500 ft and the cutoff is 6 hours. Aid station provision for the 30K is two stations, one of which is remote and stocked with water, electrolyte, gels, fruit, and basic first aid.

The 10K course uses the flat perimeter trails and the less technical portion of Ford Canyon. The published total elevation gain is about 600 ft and the cutoff is 3 hours. The 10K has one aid station with water, electrolyte, and snacks.

Additional notes: drop bags are allowed at start/finish; cups are not provided so participants must bring their own bottle or reusable cup. No mandatory gear is required, though sun protection and at least 500 ml of fluid are recommended. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women per distance.
