The Weir River Farm Trail Run is part of the Barn to Run Trail Race Series. The 9th annual event is scheduled for October 19, 2025, at Weir River Farm, 140 Turkey Hill Road, Hingham, MA. The race is designed to showcase the farm’s property, programs and community supported agriculture operations. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the farm.

Race details

Runners follow trails at Weir River Farm and neighboring Whitney and Thayer Woods. Course maps and cue sheets are provided for each distance. Distances offered:

  • 10 miles
  • 6.0 miles
  • 3.4 miles

The 10 mile course uses the 6 mile trail route plus a 2-mile loop in Wompatuck State Park that is completed twice. Awards are given to the three fastest men and three fastest women in each race. All runners receive post-race food and drink, including cider donuts, and may enter sponsor giveaways. Runners who register by October 5 are guaranteed a soft cotton race shirt; later registrants receive a knit backpack. Family activities at the farm include a barn yard with pigs, chickens and goats, and free pumpkin painting for children under 15 (first 25 kids).
