Event overview
The event is a trail running day at Wompatuck State Park campgrounds in Hingham, MA. Distances offered:
- 5K
- 5M
- 8-Hour (repeat a 5-mile lap as many times as desired within the event)
Registration closes April 10. The 8-Hour field is limited to 50 runners. There is a no-refund policy. The course will be run in the opposite direction from previous years.
Course and logistics
The 5K loops around Prospect Hill and returns to the campgrounds. The 5K is mostly trail with about one mile of pavement and about 150 ft of elevation. The 5M and the 5-mile lap used for the 8-Hour are mainly trail with some pavement and about 350 ft of elevation gain. Porta potties will be available at the start/finish area. There will be a community food and drink table at the start/finish and an on-course aid station roughly 2 miles into the route. Drop bags for 8-Hour participants will be staged near the lap finish for quick access. Packet pickup is scheduled on April 10 at TA Fitness Weymouth and at the park on race day. Day-of registration may be offered if the race is not full. Expect mud and water on trails in April. Children must remain with a parent or guardian, and dogs are not allowed.
