Houghton's Pond Trail Race

The Houghton's Pond Trail Races take place in the scenic DCR Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Massachusetts, just south of Boston. This event offers two trail race distances: 7 miles and 3.7 miles, both starting and finishing near the Houghton's Pond Visitor Center. The courses feature rolling terrain on dirt roads and forest paths, avoiding steep hiking trails but including natural trail obstacles like rocks and roots.

Elevation changes are approximately 700 feet for the 7-mile race and 300 feet for the shorter race. Amenities include long-sleeve cotton race shirts, multiple water stations, and post-race refreshments. The race supports trail maintenance through donations to Friends of the Blue Hills.
