Wasatch Trail Run Series – Solitude

This event is a trail race held at Solitude Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon with on-site facilities and evening activities. In-person registration is available at Entrance #1 at the Moonbeam Lodge. Restrooms are located in the Snowsports Academy on the parking lot level, to the left of the stairs and clock tower.

Distances offered:

  • Short Course - 4.97 miles, 881 ft elevation gain
  • Long Course - 7.0 miles, 1,186 ft elevation gain

Both courses start on the dirt road next to the Moonbeam Express ski lift and follow a sequence of named trails and roads. Key route segments include Eagle Express, Mother Lode, Cobalt Cruiser, Serenity Trail, the Wooden Bridge, Raptor Road, the Round House, the old foot path to the top of Moonbeam Express, Kruzr, Up and About, and a dirt road descent to the finish.

An evening Yoga and DJ dance party accompanies the event, with a live DJ. Little Dollie’s Restaurant will be open and serving food and beverages. Dogs are not permitted in the canyon and may not remain in vehicles in the canyon. Parking is at Entrance #1 near Moonbeam Lodge; the venue is accessed via Big Cottonwood Canyon.
