Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the Soldier Hollow Campground and runs largely along Deer Creek Reservoir. The route reaches the Provo Jordan River Parkway about half a mile from the start, follows a well-packed dirt trail for roughly six miles before turning, and returns to the finish. Surface breakdown is approximately 95% dirt trail and 5% dirt single track, with a total ascent near +970 ft. Aid stations are spaced about 4.3 miles apart and supply Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels/waffles, fruit, and other snacks. Navigation is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Free parking is available near the pavilion, and there is no official course cutoff time.
