The Deer Creek Half Marathon is scheduled for July 10, 2027 in Midway, Utah and is organized by Happy Trails Running. The race is a 13.1 miles out-and-back that starts and finishes at the Deer Creek Dam Trailhead and follows the shoreline of Deer Creek Reservoir, offering views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The course is 100% dirt trail and is described as well packed with few tripping hazards.
The route is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals; after the first quarter mile it is easy to follow. Aid stations are positioned about 4.3 miles apart and will provide Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and assorted snacks. Segment elevations are provided by the organizer and total elevation gain for the event is +970 ft. There is no cutoff time.
Registered runners receive a locally made finisher medal, an age-group medal where applicable, and a race shirt. Post-race provisions include a Great Harvest Bread seasonal sweet bread, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, chocolate milk, orange juice, and bananas. Xotio Media will provide free race photos without watermarks. Free parking is available at the trailhead.
Registration details include an entry cap of 180 for the half marathon and registration closes on July 9 at 11:59 PM MT; late registration begins June 10.
