Follow the Flag 5k Trail Race

Pleasant Grove, United States • 11 Jul 2026

Event overview

The Follow the Flag 5K Trail Race is scheduled for July 11, 2026, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The event is a 5K trail run organized by the Follow the Flag Foundation, a volunteer organization that has supported funerals and related activities for fallen military and first responder community members since 2014. The finish line is located under what the organizer describes as the largest American flag ever made.

Course and purpose

The course is described in three sections: the first mile is relatively flat and fast, the second mile is an uphill climb, and the final mile is downhill, finishing along Grove Creek under the large flag. All entry fees for the race go to the foundation’s general purpose fund. The fund supports the organization’s activities such as attending funerals, hanging flags in canyons, decorating neighborhoods when a fallen service member returns, repairing or replacing large flags, and one-off community assistance projects noted by the organizer. The race is part of the organizer’s Run2Remember and other patriotic events held by the foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
