Wasatch Trail Run Series – Snowbird

The Snowbird stop of the Wasatch Trail Run Series takes place at Snowbird Resort, with parking in Entrance #1 "Creekside." The event uses mountain trails around the resort and includes single-track, dirt roads, short paved sections, and meadows.

Two course options are offered:

  • Long Course: about 7.9 miles, 1800' elevation gain.
  • Short Course: about 5.2 miles, 850' elevation gain.

Both courses begin at Creekside and share an early reroute due to construction that adds about 0.7 miles and includes more single track. The long course follows dirt roads and single-track sections such as Dean’s Delight, Black Jack Return, Big Mountain Trail and Baby Thunder, passing Snowbird Center and Cliff Lodge. The short course follows similar initial terrain and diverts up Peruvian Gulch Trail before rejoining Midway and Baby Thunder sections. Finish line is at the same location as the start.

Water is available only at the start/finish area; the event is cupless. Participants are expected to carry their own hydration. Live music will be provided by Blue Grass Thunder. Preferred barbecue parking is available for gas-only grills near the start/finish and the band.

Snowbird is located up Little Cottonwood Canyon; continue approximately 7 miles up the canyon to reach the resort and the Creekside area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
