The 12th Annual Warm Hands Warm Hearts Run is a community fundraising race in Edmonton on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The event is based at the Alfred H. Savage Centre in Whitemud Park, 13909 Fox Dr NW. Its purpose is to raise funds and collect warm winter items for the city’s houseless and vulnerable population. A virtual participation option is available so people can support the event from other locations.

Races, format and donations

Distances and race formats include:

  • 21K - trail race on single track and double wide trails.
  • 10K - trail race with single track and double wide gravel trails.
  • 5K - family friendly run/walk on a mix of double wide dirt and paved trails.
  • Kids 5K and Kids 10K - shorter distance options on mixed trail surfaces.
  • Team entries are offered for 21K, 10K and 5K categories.

Donations are collected as full backpacks or individual items. Suggested backpack contents include toque, mitts, scarf, socks, toiletries, feminine hygiene items and a small coffee card. Used items are accepted. Dedicated volunteers sort and pack donations before distribution to the houseless community. The last day to donate online is Thursday, November 13, 2025.
