This event takes place at Terwillegar Park in Southwest Edmonton, on more than 186 hectares of varied terrain. It is the first race in the 5 Peaks Northern Alberta trail running series.

The course includes hills, single track and muddy sections. Runners will encounter technical trail features such as steep descents, riverside climbs, roots and rocks. Parts of the route run parallel to the river and provide views of the river valley.

Safety and services: dogs, headphones, strollers and baby joggers are not allowed on course; nordic walking poles are permitted only for the hiking group. Washroom facilities are available at the start and finish area. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour are asked to carry a receptacle for liquids and calories.

Logistics: parking is limited and spectators are welcome, with best viewing from the start and finish area. Finisher swag and medals can be purchased before or on site while supplies last.
