Distances Offered

The Hill of a Race event offers three distances:

  • All Day Buffet: A 6-hour event where participants complete as many laps as possible on an approximately 2.5 km course.
  • A la Carte: A 10 km race, consisting of four laps of the approximately 2.5 km course.
  • The Snack: A 5 km race, consisting of two laps of the approximately 2.5 km course.

Course Route

The race takes place on the groomed ski slopes of Rabbit Hill Snow Resort in Edmonton, with no skiers or snowboarders present during the event. The route includes uphill and downhill sections on the slopes. Additional traction under running shoes may be advisable, and walking poles are permitted.

Registration is online only via the Race Roster platform. Registration fees are as follows:

  • All Day Buffet: CA$120.56
  • A la Carte: CA$88.25
  • The Snack: CA$66.71

Benefits and Charity

All participants will receive a voucher redeemable for a one-day lift ticket for the 2026/2027 ski season at Rabbit Hill, as well as a handcrafted medal for finishers. An aid station will be available on the course.
