Wanakee Wilderness 5K

The Wanakee Wilderness 5K is a trail race held at Wanakee in Meredith, New Hampshire on August 15, 2026. The event supports the camp scholarship fund and ongoing improvements to the camp facility. Runners follow woodland paths and granite rock sections across hills and valleys, pass features named Lemon Squeeze and Look Out Point, and run near the Waterfront. The route traverses different surfaces typical of a woodland trail and includes uphill and downhill sections across the camp property.

The day is part of Wanakee Homecoming activities. The program includes an awards ceremony, a Homecoming BBQ with ticketed meals priced at $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 6 to 12, and a silent auction that concludes during the event. The race is presented as an opportunity for participants and spectators to gather on camp grounds, observe the landscape, and take part in postrace community activities.
