The Jigger Johnson Ultras take place in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, in the White Mountain National Forest on August 14-16, 2026. The event uses town square facilities at Waterville Valley for packet pickup, parking, and the start/finish area. The 100 mile course is an out-and-back to the South Moat trailhead. Courses include long, mountainous trail sections with exposed ridge lines and some short highway sections where a reflective vest is required.

The courses are unmarked; runners must upload the GPX file to a GPS device or phone. Mandatory gear is required for all distances and will be checked at bib pickup; missing required items results in disqualification. Mandatory items include minimum fluid and calorie amounts, emergency blanket, headlamp and extra batteries, navigation (compass or GPS), neon safety vest for road sections, cell phone or communication device, and a water filter. There are aid stations, drop bag allowances, and some long stretches without aid where water filtering may be necessary. Qualifications are required for the ultras: the 100 mile requires a 50 mile within the past year or similar mountain effort, the 50 mile requires a 50 km within the past year, and the 20 mile has no formal qualification.
