The AZ Walk of Courage takes place on March 22, 2026 at Rio Vista Park, 8866 W Thunderbird Road, Peoria, AZ. The event benefits Changed by Fire and other local organizations. Changed by Fire is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports burn survivors, their families and burn care professionals with emotional, psychological and social programs.

Courses use the New River Trail System and are on open-use asphalt and concrete trails, starting and ending at Rio Vista Park. Courses remain open to the public and may be changed if deemed unsafe. The event is chip timed with real time results and event photos. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in all age groups for the 10K and 5K; age groups run from 8 & Under through 80 & Over.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Tortoise and Hare Sports in Glendale and on race day. Mail-in registration is accepted through March 16, 2026. The virtual option is restricted to U.S. addresses; virtual participants receive a custom finisher medal and dri-fit tech shirt, and these items are mailed after the event. The event is pet friendly with leashes, allows wheelchairs, strollers and wagons, and prohibits roller blades, skateboards and motorized devices. There is no bag check. The event proceeds rain or shine and refunds are not offered for weather. Pre- and post-race refreshments are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
