Virginia Highlands Trail Running Camp

This is a three night, three full day trail running camp held on the TRAIL:30 Firefly mountain property in the southern Virginia highlands near Mouth of Wilson, VA. Camping from Thursday night until Sunday morning is included. The property has showers, toilets, running water, electricity, a communal kitchen, and a refrigerator. Cell service on the property is limited or often unavailable.

Three organized group trail runs are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All runs are optional and participants may run additional miles on their own. Planned group routes:

• Friday: 12.5 miles, 1,800 feet elevation gain.
• Saturday: 10 miles, 1,600 feet elevation gain.
• Sunday: 10 miles, 1,900 feet elevation gain, includes a small waterfall.

Food and daily transportation are not included; participants are responsible for their own meals and for driving to the property. The camp will caravan and carpool each day to run locations.

Registration includes a unisex T shirt and professional photos. An interactive map and GPX files for each day are provided to participants before the weekend.

Three basic tiny cabins are available on site. Cabins have a queen mattress, a fan, and a Jackery power box but no air conditioning. Guests must bring their own sheets, blankets, and pillows.
